MAN Service

MAN Truck & Bus is a company belonging to the TRATON group from the Volkswagen AG family. It specializes in the production of trucks, buses, and vans, as well as combustion engines. In 2021, the company sold over 90,000 vehicles, generating nearly 11 billion euros in revenue.

In 2014, the Polish division of MAN Truck & Bus was looking for a solution that would provide users of its vehicles with access to educational materials related to their operation and information about the location of sales and service points and the services offered.

Norbsoft, with experience in developing mobile applications in the automotive industry, such as the interactive demo of the Peugeot 508 and the sales showroom application for the iPad BMW i3 Electrify Program, was chosen as the partner responsible for implementing the right technology.

After successful deployment in the Polish market, we collaborated with the MAN Truck & Bus headquarters to extend the solution to other markets.

As a result, in 2016 the product was made available in the Russian market, in 2017 in Middle Eastern countries, and ultimately a white label application was created that can be quickly configured and adapted to new countries.

The work on this project at Norbsoft began by conducting workshops and analyzing requirements, especially the need to ensure the solution's functionality without internet access. Following the workshops, we proposed creating native mobile applications for the Android and iOS platforms, which would be content-fed from a CMS prepared by us.
